Like a reporter’s note book or a diary, photo journals record spontaneous impressions of travel as it happened. They are generally in chronological order. Older photographs on film have been newly digitized; without embedded date and time, the chronology is approximate. Photos are selected to represent the broader experience and are not limited to those I might pick as of portfolio quality.

A new scrolling format allows a fast vicarious tour of the many wonderful places we have been privileged to visit and the people who have welcomed us. Clicking images reveals more information including map locations where available. Road trips in the American West are in older formats.
