25,502’ (7728 m) summit and north west face of Naimona'nyi (Gurla Mandhata in Nepalese), from just after the turn off the Burang road onto the track to the expedition truck camp. Chaglung’mlungha Glacier, visible, is the route to the summit taken by the few successful climbs since the first in 1985. In 1905 an attempt reached 7000 m (23,000‘), then the world altitude record.
