He didn't make it. Abandoned car on Ruta 25 crossing the continent, between Gaiman and Paso de Indios. A wonderful, reasonably paved, sometimes scenic, lonely road with no trucks and just a few cars an hour. 450 km (280 miles) to Ruta 40.
